Alliances for Action: Coffee Network
Overview
Summary
In 2021, ITC released the 4th edition of the Coffee Guide, a publication from the industry for the industry on coffee, in October 2021. From 2022 onwards, the ITC Alliances for Action team will scale-up the impact of the guide focusing mainly on the network behind the guide in order to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive coffee sector. It is envisaged that the intervention strategy shall focus on three areas :
Outreach
We will scale-up dissemination to reach the maximum number of people and organizations, especially including coffee producers, who have been traditionally left-out of international conversations around the coffee trade. We will do this with our partners, who will disseminate the Guide in their networks.
Digitization, Live Content and Knowledge Management
To ensure that the Guide remains relevant, we will create a digital version regularly updated with current market and technical information.
Network Building and fostering of Partnership for Action
Finally, we want will create a platform for dialogue, information sharing and cooperation among stakeholders in coffee hosted on an independent platform and moderated by ITC. The network will have its own governance system, and ultimately attract its own funding.
