ITC’s Ethical Fashion Initiative is bringing the energy and creativity of Ghana’s budding designers to the fore.

Lauded for connecting women artisans in impoverished communities with leading fashion designers, ITC’s Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) is now aiming to bring the energy and creativity of Ghana’s budding designers to the fore, while continuing to promote the crafts and skills of local artisans.

This new venture of the EFI includes a mentorship programme in which, among others, Vogue Italia Editor-in-Chief Franca Sozzani and couture designer Duro Olowu will provide mentoring in marketing, branding and planning collections to design talent from Ghana. Selected designers will also be supported to participate in major fashion events in Europe in 2014.
