The Made in Madagascar brand is attracting attention from around the world.

As part of the UKTP Programme’s efforts to promote trade partnerships, two clothing companies from Madagascar attended the Texworld exhibition and show in Paris in July and walked away with new export contacts and promising business partnerships.

The companies engaged with over a dozen manufacturing and retailing organisations from around Europe, many of whom were new to the market.

They also met with several high-end manufacturing companies who were interested in further collaboration.

Despite the Covid-19 restrictions, the Texworld organisers were proactive in guiding visitors to the two Madagascan companies, and providing follow-up digital services including emailing selected products directly to the suppliers.

Visitors to the Texworld exhibition were impressed with the vibrant and colourful designs on offer from Madagascar, especially the clothing for children.

The UKTP Programme continues to assist companies with new market opportunities, and strongly promotes the importance of social responsibility in the clothing industry.
