Trade Fair Support - Supply Side West

In October 2011, ITC provided the Peruvian export promotion agency (PROMPERU) and 6 Peruvian companies with tailored marketing support to attend the Supply Side West trade fair (SSW) in Las Vegas in order to facilitate market linkages with US buyers.

PROMPERU organized the mission, and Peruvian companies interested in attending self-financed their trip. ITC in turn provided support in setting up market linkages and providing expert advice. In particular, key ITC activities included:

• Preparation of companies,
• A press release and arranging buyer-sellers meetings,
• Providing exporters with space to conduct negotiations,
• Improving visibility of exporters, and
• Provision of onsite expert advice to companies.

The 6 companies who attended SSW reported expected sales from the fair of USD 825,000 in 2012 (USD 137,500 per company).
