(Geneva/Casablanca) – Registration is now open for the 11th Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) Network World Conference, which will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, on 24 25 November 2016.

Hosted by Maroc Export in partnership with the International Trade Centre (ITC), the theme of this year's event is Moving Forward: The Future of Trade and Investment Promotion. Participants will explore trends shaping the economic and social landscape in which trade and investment promotion organizations (TPOs) operate.

More than 200 senior experts in trade and investment promotion from over 50 countries are expected to attend the biennial event to exchange knowledge and share good practices.

The conference will explore the implications of the digital revolution for how TPOs operate and provide services. It will examine the role of standards for the international value chains of the future and the emergence of Africa as the next trade and investment destination. Other topics include ‘how to’ workshops on global market places and e-commerce, and managing TIPOs for effectiveness in the face of a complex and rapidly changing world.

The TPO Network Award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 24 November. The 2016 awards will recognize TPOs that have demonstrated outstanding performance in the development of innovative solutions in export development.
