Arancha González says international organizations share responsibility to include LDCs and vulnerable countries in the multilateral trading system

Arancha González, ITC’s Executive Director, in a message to the World Trade Organization (WTO) General Council, calls for deeper relations between ITC, the WTO and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to find the ‘right mix of trade and development’.

In her message, she said, ‘I intend to work closely with Director-General Azevêdo and UNCTAD Secretary-General Kituyi to ensure that the WTO, UNCTAD and ITC work in partnership and in tandem with a common aim of supporting more and better trade and sustainable development.’
