Women’s Entrepreneurship Accelerator- 3rd Anniversary Fireside Chat: Applying Gender-Lens to agenda 2030

Entrepreneurship can be a powerful force addressing societal challenges through innovation and support SDG’s, however innovation is male dominated. Developing a more gender inclusive ecosystem for start-ups requires challenging the current business models and address the many obstacles’ women entrepreneurs face to success in developing technologies. 

This hybrid high level event, organized at the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of Women’s Entrepreneurship Accelerator (WEA) initiative, provides an opportunity for all stakeholders within the women’s entrepreneurship ecosystem to discuss the importance of women entrepreneurship as a powerful force addressing societal challenges through innovation and support of SDG’s; learn about WEA’s mission and objectives and the impact of the WEA initiatives; and have an understanding of the emerging policies and practices that could be applied and replicated globally to support gender sensitive innovation. The event consists of a fireside chat between the United Nations partners on how to apply a gender-lens to the 2030 Agenda, the launch of the WEA Digital Innovation Challenge, followed by a Cocktail.
