“Your work matters now more than it ever has”: UN Deputy Secretary-General on ITC’s 60th anniversary

(Geneva) – The International Trade Centre marks six decades of delivering trade-led growth in developing countries with a celebratory session on UN Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day on 27 June, held at the headquarters of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

“Since opening its doors in 1964, the International Trade Centre continues to work tirelessly to make lives better through trade,” said H.E. Amina J. Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations, in her keynote address. “You have improved lives, you have connected communities and countries, and given voice to those who represent the backbone of the global economy: small businesses.”
