Women-owned enterprises in Central America catering to the global gifts and home-decor industries are becoming export competitive through e-commerce.

More than 200 women-owned enterprises from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama are being prepared to develop a long-term strategy for selling their handicrafts in international markets. Alongside work to improve product quality and design, the project prioritizes the development of new business opportunities through e-commerce.

The project Linking Central American Women Business Enterprises with the Global Gifts and Home Decoration Market is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by ITC in collaboration with the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration (SIECA) and national implementing partners.
