Проект Ready4Trade в Центральной
Азии (ЦА) финансируется ЕС и реализуется МТЦ. Проект направлен на продвижение
внутрирегиональной и международной торговли в странах Центральной Азии путем
повышения прозрачности трансграничных требований, устранения нормативных и
процедурных барьеров, усиления бизнес-возможностей для соблюдения торговых
формальностей и стандартов, а также путем улучшения трансграничной электронной
коммерции.

Одним из ожидаемых
результатов проекта является «Повышение готовности стран Центральной Азии, в
частности компаний, возглавляемых женщинами, к ведению трансграничной
электронной коммерции». Проект будет поддерживать бенефициаров МСП, чтобы они

ISO regional workshop on the use of conformity assessment activities and tools to achieve better regulatory outcomes
Regulators may require the use of conformity assessment either through direct reference to the relevant International Standard or Guide in the regulation or through developing a conformity assessment scheme or referencing an existing one.Choosing and implementing proportionate conformity assessment procedures for various economic operators, products and services, as well as balancing with them respective market surveillance activities, is a challenging and complex task, which requires a deep understanding of available conformity assessment procedures and international best practice in the field. That is why the knowledge and skills necessary to build conformity assessment procedures as they described in the ISO CASCO standards by both regulatory authorities and economic operators, including conformity assessment bodies, is essential for building and running risk-based regulatory frameworks that support international trade and sustainable development.

Lebanon - E-commerce for women entrepreneurs

The
"Lebanon - E-commerce for women-led businesses" project aims to
use e-commerce as a means to alleviate some of the constraints that women
entrepreneurs in Lebanon face. Its goal is to help Lebanese women
entrepreneurs to market their products through e-commerce while training
e-commerce advisers to provide face-to-face personalized consulting services to
women entrepreneurs. 

For women's businesses being smaller than men's and
less internationalized, e-commerce can potentially provide an opportunity to
facilitate female SMEs' access to markets. COVID-19-related business closures
challenge traditional retail business models, and e-commerce offers a way to
maintain or even increase sales and market reach for struggling businesses.

This project is funded by the "Women
Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative" of the World Bank and implemented by the
International Trade Center, Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL)
and Flat6Labs Beirut.

Tourism Virtual Workshop on Climate ResilienceThe International Trade Centre’s (ITC) SheTrades Commonwealth Project and the Green2Compete Initiative is organizing a special series of workshops in February for a few tourism industry players whose focus is sustainability. The Green2Compete Initiative has been supporting sustainability efforts in Kenya through its Trade for Sustainable Development (T4SD) Hubs within the Kenya Climate Change Innovation Centre (KCIC) in partnership with Strathmore University (SU) and in Ghana with the Ghana Export Promotion Agency (GEPA) since 2018. Business Support Organizations (BSOs) and tourism businesses can further benefit from engaging with the T4SD Hubs to receive technical assistance on how to implement sustainable business strategies.Through the workshop, BSOs and tourism businesses will receive information and tools on climate resilience. Such tools can be utilized develop new product offerings to clients, assist business development and product diversification and the marketing on sustainable products; and positioning them to be climate resilient by diversifying their products or tour destinations.
