Export Opportunities
China is the second largest consumer and importing country in the world. The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is the world’s largest import expo, creating enormous export opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) from developing countries.
ITC has been an official CIIE partner since 2019. Since the event’s inception in 2018, over 200 ITC-supported MSMEs from 30 developing and least developed countries have participated in the event. As a result, companies established more than 1,650 new business contacts and prospective deals worth $40 million for new exports to China.
The International Trade Centre invites eligible small businesses in the processed food, consumer goods and, services sectors to apply for support from ITC to take advantage of these unique business opportunities.
This year, CIIE will take place between 5-10 November, bringing together exhibitors, professional buyers, business leaders and government officials.
As some COVID-19-related travel restrictions and quarantine measures are expected to remain in place, ITC organizes this year’s small business participation in a hybrid format, with virtual events and limited onsite presence.
