Human rights due diligence

    Overview

ITC promotes human rights due diligence at all stages of supply chains to protect workers around the world. We create innovative tools to promote transparent sourcing, provide information on how to articulate business and human rights, and promote the dignity of all those in global supply chains

Particularly vulnerable are the millions of workers lower down the supply chain, often predominantly women or migrant workers, who face poverty-level wages, dangerous and unsafe working conditions, and very limited social protections.

Within the framework of the new legislations on Environmental and Human Rights Due Diligence, ITC works with businesses and policy makers around the globe and offers tools, guidance and methodologies for enterprises to respect and monitor for human rights in their businesses.

We also partner with such organizations as the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to leverage the knowledge and application of human rights due diligence across supply chains.
