The Opportunity of Intra-African Trade

This module explores the AfCFTA in
more detail, with a focus on its novelty and the potential markets to which it
gives access. More specifically, this module covers the reasons why the levels
of intra-African trade are low and how this issue is being addressed. It looks
into the challenges raised by non-tariff barriers, poor infrastructure and
insufficient access to finance and information faced by African enterprises
wanting to engage in intra-African trade. It further aims to equip exporters to
identify market opportunities within the current infrastructural framework in
Africa.
