New horizons for Ivorian cassava producers

Ivorian cassava farmers signed contracts worth CFA $37 million (US$ 78,000) during the three-day “National Days of Adding Value to our Products,” organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Côte d'Ivoire (CCI-CI), with support from ITC under its Trade and Regional Integration Support Programme (PACIR), funded by the European Union. Participants of the 10-13 February event reported that they were negotiating deals worth a further CFA 470 million (US$ 785,000) following the meetings, and were hoping to sign contracts with a total value of CFA 750 million (US$ 1,254,000) within twelve months of the event.
