Flash News: New collaboration between ITC Standards Map and SEDEX (en)

The International Trade Centre (ITC), a joint organisation of the United Nations and World Trade Organization based in Geneva, Switzerland has developed five web portals: Trade Map, Market Access Map, Investment Map, Trade Competitiveness MapTrade Competitiveness Map and Standards Map to enhance the transparency of global trade and market access and to facilitate market analyses and businesses strategies.
 

 ITC collaborates with Sedex to reference the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) onto the web-portal Standards Map, which enables analyses and reviews of sustainability standards and audit protocols using a unique set of social, environmental and economic criteria, audit best practices and good governance models.

 
There are currently 75 standard systems, codes and audit protocols referenced on Standards Map, such as Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, SA8000, BSCI, among which SMETA has also been included since May 22nd, 2012.
