    Résumé

ITC's Strategic Plan 2022-2025 places a significant emphasis on the digitalization of trade - and the fundamental importance to entrepreneurs and MSMEs of having access to affordable and useful digital connectivity. This project - and the programme of work it represents - is ITC's commitment to a raised level of ambition in ensuring that digital connectivity is accessible and utilized by small enterprises in developing and least developed countries and that the benefits flow to otherwise excluded populations.  The initiative, baptized "Switch ON", addresses different levels of response at the policy, ecosystem and enterprise level and supposes new working processes for ITC teams to coordinate their work around connectivity related issues, the conclusion of agreements with "non traditional" partners (such as those making investments in digital connectivity infrastructure and services) and thought leadership which ensures that the transition to digital trade results in positive and inclusive development outcomes.  The project finances specific research and pilot programs within ITC, and leverages project resources from W2 funded projects.  A core component is the development of ecommerce capabilities and the scaling of ITC's community of experts and practitioners. Intended to be a multi year programme (aligned with ITC strategic planning period) the project will review progress and make annual decisions how best to target potential additional funding.

The fact that a team of professionals with such dedication helped me make my own website is the best gift that I could have received. I couldn't have done it alone. Having been prepared to sell online in 2020 has made sales possible since the beginning of the pandemic. And it continues to be like that.
